Welcome to Ridgeland, Mississippi — recently named by Money magazine as one of the country’s “100 Best Places to Live.” In the magazine’s August 2007 issue, this honor was bestowed on 100 American cities with populations between 7,500 and 50,000.

Ridgeland’s status among the “100 Best Places to Live” was achieved by ranking highly in the following categories: jobs/economy, housing affordability, ease of living, leisure/arts, education, safety, and diversity. And, in the category of job growth, Ridgeland ranked higher than many of the other cities; Ridgeland came in at 21.7 percent while the average of the other 99 cities was 13.41 percent.

Not only do we boast a thriving business community and job market, but we’re also a great place to raise a family, receive an education, live a healthy lifestyle, and pursue the arts. Ridgeland has affordable homes in friendly neighborhoods, superior schools, sports and recreation opportunities for the entire family, as well as renowned art galleries and guilds.
