Junior Diplomat of the Month

Victoria Owchar, center, Ridgeland High School, participated in the Chamber’s Junior Diplomat Program her junior and senior year and received a $500 Spirit of Junior Diplomat Award.  Junior Diplomats held their final meeting of the year at the Electric Power Association of MS. Rochelle Culp of the Miss. Tobacco-Free Coalition of Madison, Yazoo and Holmes Counties gave a program encouraging the students to make make wise choices and come up with a 4-year plan for their future. Several Junior Diplomats are pictured, showing off the bags that Ms. Culp presented them.

Perfect Attendance ~ At the May Junior Diplomat meeting, several students were recognized for having perfect attendance and were presented $10 gift cards courtesy of McAlister’s Deli – Ridgeland. Mr. Walters spoke about his business and informed the students about careers in the field of physical therapy. Junior Diplomats Make A Difference In Our Community
The Chamber’s 32 Junior Diplomats are actively involved in many activities in Ridgeland. At the recent Senior Adult Valentine Banquet, sponsored by the City of Ridgeland Recreation and Parks Department, Junior Diplomats served coffee and dessert to attendees.
